If you are ordering a virtual server for not the first time, instead of a password for the control panel, it will state, "the password was sent to you in the activation email of a previously ordered server."

I did not receive the email, what should I do?

Such incidents are possible in rare cases due to issues with our mail servers.

If you have checked all sections, including SPAM, and have not found the activation email, you can find the information in your personal account. Log in and then select the section for your service, in this case, "Virtual Servers." Then, place a checkmark on the specific server and click on the "Instructions" button, as indicated in the screenshot.

This will open a copy of the service activation email on a new page in front of you.

Server Connection

Most popular server operating systems with Linux kernels, such as Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, and others, come with SSH and sFTP services installed by default. Therefore, there is no need for additional configurations, and you can connect to your server immediately.

Connecting via SSH

You can use free programs like Termius, Putty, WinSCP, MobaXterm, and others. In this example, we will use Termius, which is the simplest and most convenient option.

Install the program, and then register an account if you don't already have one.

Next, go to the "Hosts" section, use the "New Host" button, and enter the server details provided in the activation email.

Save the entered information and try to connect to the server by double-clicking on the saved host.

The program will detect a new connection fingerprint. Add it using the "Add and continue" button to prevent this warning from appearing in future connections.

The connection is established.

Transferring Data via sFTP

But that's not all! How do you transfer files from your computer to the remote server? For this, we will use the sFTP protocol, which is also configured by default on all our Linux OS images.

Free programs like FileZilla, WinSCP, and others are suitable for this purpose. However, we are using Termius, which conveniently includes a built-in sFTP client.

After connecting, you can transfer any files to your server by simply dragging and dropping them.

By default, you are in the root directory of your computer and the server. To navigate to the desired location, you can specify the path in the corresponding field. The screenshot shows the path to the Windows desktop. The path will be different depending on the operating system.
