If you are ordering a virtual server not for the first time, instead of the control panel password, it will state, "the password was sent to you in the activation email of a previously ordered server."
I didn't receive the email, what should I do?
This is possible in rare cases due to issues with our mail servers.
If you have checked all sections, including SPAM, and have not found the activation email, you can find the information in your personal account. Log in and then select the section for your service, in this case, "Virtual Servers." Next, check the specific server, and click on the "Instructions" button, as shown in the screenshot.
This way, a copy of the service activation email will be displayed on the new page.
Connection
We will need any utility for connecting via RDP. In all recent versions of Windows OS, there is built-in software for this purpose, and we will use it. In the system search, find and open the following application:
In the opened window, enter the server's IP address and use the connect button.
Next, provide the login and password for connecting to the server; use the "OK" button.
Please note that depending on the OS version, standard logins may differ. Typically, it is one of the following options:
Administrator — for Windows Server
Admin — for Windows Desktop
Since this guide is using Windows Server 2019, we specify the login as Administrator.
A window will appear where you should confirm the authenticity of the server's certificate to which you are connecting. Check the box to prevent such requests from appearing in future connections to this server. Click "Yes."
The connection is established.
How to Transfer Files to a Remote Server?
The utility we are using has a built-in feature for transferring data to a remote server. Open the same application. Then expand the options and go to the "Local Resources" section. In the "Local devices and resources" category, click on the "More" button.
In the opened window, expand the "Drives" list and select the drives on your computer that will be connected to the remote server, then save with the "OK" button.
Connect to the server in the same way as indicated in the instructions above. Open Windows Explorer. Here you will see the connected remote drive.
