Prompt Troubleshooting of Server Equipment: A Real Company Case Study
In our daily operations, our company faces many technical challenges. One of the latest examples was an issue with a server shipment, where some units had faulty motherboards.
Problem
Right after installing the new servers in the Netherlands, we encountered an issue at one of the sites: a dedicated server unexpectedly shut down, making it impossible to work with. Inspections and diagnostics showed that the problem was caused by a faulty motherboard.
Solution
We immediately contacted the equipment suppliers, who provided an official response from Asrock confirming that a batch of motherboards with a manufacturing defect had indeed been released. To minimize inconvenience to our clients, we decided to order and install new equipment.
However, since the same motherboard model had been used shortly before this incident, we didn’t have any spare boards readily available. We placed an urgent order and expected delivery within less than 24 hours, but due to a minor delay, the motherboards were delivered only the next day.
Result
After receiving the new batch of motherboards, we promptly installed them and fully resolved the issue. Despite the challenges, our specialists did everything possible to fix the problem in the shortest time and minimize inconvenience for the client.
