Managing a Hetzner Server via the SpaceCore Client Area

After activating a server ordered in the Hetzner data center, the “ Dedicated servers ” section becomes the main control panel for the service. From here you can perform a standard reboot, reinstall the operating system, and launch the SystemRescue environment for diagnostics and recovery.

Standard reboot

The first reboot button in the panel performs a normal server restart at the hardware level.

  • “Execute an automatic hardware reset” — performs a full hardware reset of the dedicated server with sequential power-off and power-on. Essentially, this is equivalent to pressing the Reset button on a regular computer case.

Operating system reinstall

The control panel provides a quick operating system reinstall tool. When using the standard reinstall function:

  • The system is deployed with a RAID 1 (disk mirroring) configuration.
  • After the installation is complete, the new server access password is displayed in the “Instruction” section of the selected service.

Additional reboot options

The additional reboot section extends the capabilities of the standard reboot and allows you to manage the server state more flexibly.

The following options are available:

  • “Press power button of server” — simulates pressing the physical power button on the server chassis:
    • if the server is powered off, the command will start it;
    • if the server is powered on, an ACPI signal will be sent to perform a graceful shutdown without reboot.
  • “Execute an automatic hardware reset” — performs a full hardware reset with power-off and subsequent power-on. Equivalent to the Reset button.
  • “Order a manual hardware reset” — submits a request to the technical team for a manual attempt to start or reboot the server with additional hardware diagnostics. Used when standard methods fail and may take more time.

Enabling SystemRescue

If low-level diagnostics, system recovery, or working with the file system is required, you can boot the server into a special SystemRescue environment (Rescue mode).

After Rescue mode is activated, on the next boot the server will start not from the main disk, but from the SystemRescue image. You can connect to it via SSH using the provided parameters.

The password for connecting to SystemRescue is stored in the service settings in the client area and is displayed in the same section as the other technical details of the server.
